I am an artist printmaker, part of the Society of Painter-Printmakers and the Royal Engravers. I work with etching mainly now but am recognised for my mezzotint engravings and for promoting the mezzotint technique which incidentally I can't tag any of my works with because Deviant doesn't list it as an option!
I did my MA in Printmaking at Central St Martin's College of Art. My main areas of interest are the environment and the work ethic, politics, greed, man's abuse and depletion of natural resources and then tackling awkward subjects through humour. My work has been described as 'black humour' 'satire' 'new surrealist' but I don't really have a plan as such - one idea leads to another and I just go with it.
Friends have tried to encourage me for years to place my work here and finally I'm now doing it.
